Yorkshire Forward is proud of its links with China and in particular the Zhejiang Province where we opened an office in Hangzhou earlier this year to promote trade and investment opportunities with Yorkshire and Humber. The Chinese market offers great opportunities for the region's businesses, many of whom joined me when I signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the provincial Governor Lu Zushan in China. I was also pleased to welcome Governor Lu to Yorkshire and Humber in July and to return his hospitality. On the back of these visits and our presence in Hangzhou, I am sure the two regions will now enjoy a prosperous future working together.
